What do they Eat in Southeast Asia?
Some of the spices used to flavor food, and that much of this food is very spicy. You also learned that there are many Muslims in Southeast Asia. They do not eat pork, so they use other meats for their dishes

LESSON 2
What do they Eat in South Asia?
People from South Asia put powder on their food called "curry:. This powder is a mixture of many spices. You also learned that the people in South Asia like spicy food, just like the people in Southeast Asia.
You also learned about the Hindus and their beliefs with regard to food. Because they believe that cows are sacred, they avoid beef. They are also many Muslims in South Asia who, because of their religious beliefs, do not eat pork. This is an example of a taboo. You can see that the religious and cultural beliefs of different countries affect the foods that people eat.

LESSON 3
What do they Eat in West Asia (the Middle East) ?
There are many Middle Eastern foods which are spicy and hot, just like in South Asia and Southeast Asia. You also learned of a different type of food bacteria culture. You should have remembered from the lesson that not all bacteria is bad, and that the bacteria in yoghurt helps in the digestion of food.

What do they Eat in East Asia ?
East Asians have shared a lot of their food with us. Siomai, mami, and siopao are just examples of the food that the people of East Asia have brought to the Philippines.
Many people in East Asia do not use forks and spoons. They use two thin wooden sticks called chopsticks. They use these to pick up the food
